Celebrating Youth Day 2025: Hearing the Voices of Tomorrow

On 18 June 2025, iLaunch had the privilege of hosting eight bright, ambitious students at our Head Office.

As a company deeply committed to shaping the future of work and empowering the next generation, we wanted to do more than celebrate—we wanted to listen.

We asked them two simple but powerful questions:

What are you most excited about?

Their answers reminded us why youth are such a powerful force for innovation and change:

  • “I’m excited to learn and grow.”

  • “I want to connect with people and understand different perspectives.”

  • “I look forward to the responsibility that comes with a real job.”

  • “I want to make an impact through real-world projects.”

What are you most nervous about?

Their honesty opened the door to meaningful conversations:

  • “Not knowing what to expect—and setting boundaries.”

  • “I’m scared AI might make me redundant.”

  • “I worry I won’t understand what’s expected of me.”

  • “The fear of the unknown.”

  • “Imposter syndrome.”

These reflections gave us a window into the hopes, fears, and dreams that many young people carry as they transition from study to career. And in turn, we shared some of the lessons we’ve learned:

What We Learnt Together

  • Don’t fear failure—it's your First Attempt In Learning.

  • Take risks—don’t settle.

  • Redefine failure—it’s part of growth.

  • Own your story—setbacks are fuel.

  • The world needs what only you can offer. It needs your potential

  • Youth empowerment starts with you. Now is your time.

As Toni Volschenk, iLaunch’s Chief Operating Officer, beautifully put it:

“Your career is not just about finding a job—it’s about building your future. Be open to learning, embrace every opportunity, and remember that challenges shape your journey. Every step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to success.”

At iLaunch, we remain committed to walking alongside young people as they take their first steps into the world of work.
